Remi Garde is in pole position to take the managerial job at Aston
Villa following Tim Sherwood’s departure, according to reports in
France.
The former Arsenal star is believed to be the front-runner to succeed Sherwood, who was sacked after an appalling set of results.
Villa are currently bottom of the Premier League and have lost their last five league matches.
Garde’s current employers Canalplus tweeted that the former Lyon manager was in pole position to seal the job.
