Why We Terminated Sokari’s Contract - Esperance

Super Eagles and International player, Kingsley Sokari, has had his hopes of playing abroad shattered with the announcement from the club that, they no longer require his services.

The Tunisian giants said they are broke and will not be able to afford a foreign player, the team coach also said he does not want any more signings in the team.
Naij.com recalled that the player travelled to Tunis some weeks ago to negotiate a deal but when he got back to the country, the club said they cannot afford to pay the superstar.
“Esperance Sportive de Tunis manager waived the recruitment of Nigerian Kingsley Sokari after consultation with the coach Jose Anigo,” explained the club.

“Indeed, given the number of foreigners already present, our club would rather enlist a foreign player more in line with the needs of the team.”
However, Enyimba International, the real owner of the player said that, they decided to end the agreement with Esperance because the team did not abide by the agreements both clubs had.
Esperance FC, however, said they are already in the possession of foreign players and would not be able to pay.
Nigerian International, Emem Uduok  signed for the club this year.
However, U20 All African Youth Championship ‘wonder goal’ scorer, Bernard Bulbwa has found himself entangled in a transfer saga which may likely have the world governing football body, FIFA, step in as Esperance of Tunisia are yet to pay a transfer fee of $180,000 for his acquisition.
