Arsenal have already started preparation for next season with the unveiling of their new home kit.
The
Gunners new kit follows last season's design of white sleeves and
shoulders but have included a darker red stripe down the middle of the
shirt.
With their five seasons £30million-a-year deal still in place, Puma is the makers of the new Arsenal jersey.
First team stars Olivier Giroud, Hector Bellerin and Santi Cazorla modelled the new kit in promotional photos releases.
Present at the unveiling are also former Arsenal stars Robert Pires, Thierry Henry and Fredrik Ljungberg.
According
to Puma, inspiration was taken from managers, players and historic
moments that defined the club throughout the 1990's to make the new
strip.
They however put their own modern spin on the new creation.
The new performance
shirt features the new apparel technology, ACTV Thermo-R, which is
strategically inserted in both the front and the back of the shirt to
help players maintain an optimum body temperature.
A
unique phase-change material is injected into the shirts' inner
athletic tape, which allows microcapsules to absorb excess heat and
release it back to the body when needed.
The taping in the
shirts provides an extra snug fit, micro-massaging the skin in specific
areas to enable a faster, more effective energy supply to the active
muscles.
The new kit costs at least £55 (N26, 000)
for a basic home kit short sleeved shirt with no number, with the
'authentic home shirt' priced at £100 (N48, 000).
