Soldiers clear Boko Haram camp, kill many (photos)

Nigerian soldiers attached to 120 task force battalion in continuation of the clearance operations against the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists scattered across the Northern region have recorded another milestone victory.

This was contained in a statement issued on March 16 by Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, acting director army public relations, a copy obtained by Naij.com.
The statement revealed that the troops while clearing the camp at Bulasari after it successfully chased away the sect members from Golgore camp on March 15 also killed some sect members.
“During the operation, quite a number of the Boko Haram terrorists were killed while one of our soldier sustained gunshot wound. The solder’s condition is stable and is currently being managed at Damaturu General Hospital,” he said.
The army spokesman said one of the most significant aspects of the operation was the recovery of Nigerian army armoured personnel carrier (APC) earlier captured by the terrorists during an attack on Buni Yadi on July 9, 2015. He said the APC was discovered at Golgore river line and it has since been evacuated.

According to him, the successful raid has further shown army’s commitment to rid the country of the menace of Boko Haram terrorists and other criminal elements.

Colonel Usman in statement on February 24 disclosed that Nigerian army dislodged Boko Haram terrorists camps in the border towns of Kumshe and Talala during a joint operations of Nigerian and Cameroonian forces.
He said the terrorists tried causing havoc at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp located at Dikwa, unknowingly to the fleeing terrorists that the armed forces special forces had blocked strategic positions in order to decisively deal with them. According to him, many of the sect members were killed, vehicles were recovered as well as arms and ammunition.
