The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff has said that the party has suffered enough for its mistakes.
Sheriff made the comment on Thursday, February 25, 2016, during a meeting with a delegation of the Arewa Social Media Forum (ASMEFO) in Abuja, The Cable reports.
The PDP Chairman also reportedly said that he would not work with “recalcitrant and unrepentant party members”.
“We
have the mandate of the party members and leaders to re-position the
party and we will not work with anyone who will create crisis or
violence in the party, no matter their positions,” he said.
“The
party has suffered enough for its mistakes, and members and indeed
Nigerians are looking forward toward a re-positioned PDP,” he added.
Meanwhile, American television network, Cable News Network (CNN) has described Sheriff as the founder of Boko Haram.
The allegation was earlier made by PDP member and former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
Sheriff has however denied the claim and threatened that Fani-Kayode would not go scot free for linking him with the sect.
