A detailed result of the vote for the CAF Awards reveals who Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh voted for.
The coach reportedly voted Ghana and Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew as his first choise with the winner of the award Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Dortmund and Gabon coming in at second place.
Surprisingly Oliseh did not vote for Yaya Toure in his top three rather he went for Senegal and Southampton front man Saido Mane.
Mane would not make the shortlist for the top three as Ayew, Toure and Aubameyang took the podium.
Aubameyang would eventually be named African player of the year ahead of Yaya Toure and Andre Ayew who came in at second and third place respectively.
