The
former 'Nickelodeon' star was picked up by the police in Glendale,
California on Monday, December 21, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Bell, 29, was reportedly pulled over around 2:20am by the authorities and according to the Glendale Police spokeswoman, Tahnee Lightfoot, the actor was "swerving and speeding" after he abruptly stopped at a red light.

The actor, who has
reportedly filed for bankruptcy, was arrested after failing to pass a
sobriety test. A police officer reported that he smelled the odor of
alcohol coming from the star's car.

According to TMZ, he
was driving 55 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. He was locked
up for nearly 10 hours before posting bail at $20,000.
