Kidnappers Kill Israeli In Abuja

Two unfortunate incidents occurred in Abuja on Wednesday, September 9, leading to the death of a foreigner and an innocent bystander being shot by a gang of robbers.

According to Vanguard, an Israeli man was killed by suspected kidnappers. The man who is an employee of Gilmor, a construction company, was intercepted on his way to work at around 8.30pm. Four men forced him out of his vehicle and attempted to push him into a Toyota car.

It was reported that the man was shot while trying to resist abduction by the culprits who sped away afterwards. The police are still trying to locate them.
On the same day, a robbery gang that has also been terrorising AMAC Estate, along Airport Road in Abuja struck again but were engaged by the police.
An exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the death of two members of the gang while others managed to flee.

Victims of the gang included journalists, medical doctors, traders and senior civil servants. It was reported that in one of their attacks, a medical doctor who attempted to resist them was shot in the face.
In a another development, a suspected thief was attacked by a mob in Port Harcourt. The suspect was beaten and though he tried to escape, he was eventually overpowered and killed.
