President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 approved the
sack of the Chairmen and members of the boards of the Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) FCT Internal Revenue Service, Secondary Education and
Universal Basic Education.
The order was contained in a letter addressed to John Chukwu, the FCT Permanent Secretary, John Chukwu.
In the letter, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal reminded Chukwu “that the Federal Government’s directive as contained in Circular Ref. No. SGF.19/S.81/XIX/964 on the dissolution of the Governing Boards of the Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government Owned Companies remains extant”.
He further stressed “that the directive applies to all the Boards of the Federal Capital Territory Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government Owned Companies”.
Chukwu has since acted on the letter.
