Caitlyn Jenner is now suing the paparazzi for their alleged involvement in the fatal accident in 2015, which claimed the life of one of its victims.
Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly blaming the paparazzi for the fatal accident in 2015, which claimed the life of Kim Howe, and has filed a lawsuit accordingly.
The transgender has alleged that she had been distracted by the paparazzi on that day, which led to the fatal accident.
In new documents shared by TMZ, the paparazzi is alleged to have been driving recklessly while trailing the former Olympic gold medalist, 'visually distracting' her in the split seconds that caused Howe's death.
Caitlyn accused the Paparazzi, identified as 'the Stalker Defendants' in the lawsuit, of 'harassing' her throughout the day up to the moment of the accident.
Documents obtained by E! News read:
"As Jenner was driving her vehicle consistent with all laws and speed limits, the Stalker Defendants, and others acting in concert with them, continuously, negligently, and recklessly operated their vehicles, tracking Jenner."
The documents reportedly suggest that the Paparazzi should be made to bear part of the damages she incurred from the accident seeing as they are partly to blame for it.
Caitlyn's accident in 2015 had involved her hitting a white Lexus at a stop light, causing it to hit a Prius, which was pushed into oncoming traffic and struck by a Hummer. Howe had been the driver of the white Lexus and was killed instantly.
In January this year, Caitlyn settled a lawsuit from Howe's stepchildren, William Howe and Dana Redmond.
TMZ reported at the time that they had filed for the suit to be dismissed following the settlement in which they both received 'very small amount' from insurance.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Prius identified as Jessica Steindorff, reportedly dropped her lawsuit against Caitlyn for personal injury and property damage as soon as her insurance company covered the damages. However, the transgender has in a turn of events, sued Steindorff, claiming that she had been on her phone and parked on the road instead of driving.
The documents allege that Steindorff had only been sitting at the green light because of her inattentiveness.
Steindorff's attorney replied the suit, saying: "It's unfortunate that she continues to not take responsibility for a crash she clearly caused."
Cailtyn was also cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in connection with the crash.
