Ooni of Ife: Monarch attracts fire service attention in Washington DC

Fire men from the Washington DC fire brigade were called to the scene after a report of smoke and fire at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. They later left following due explanation.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, caused a mild panic during a traditional rites performance, which attracted the attention of the Washington DC Fire Service.

The Washington DC Fire Brigade went to the scene following reports of fire and smoke at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art.

Tensions went down when the fire men were given adequate explanation concerning the reason for the fire.
The monarch’s traveling passport was however seized according to reports.
The traditional display was in honour of Oba Ogunwusi, who is on a tour of the United State, Olisa.tv reports.
Since becoming the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi, has taken active steps to make Osun State, particularly Ife, a tourist centre.
