Chelsea captain John Terry has been offered a new one-year contract by the club.

“Every now and then I talk to the people inside. For now and the future we must see,” Hiddink said at a press conference ahead of his last game in charge of Chelsea.
“I stick by the statement. I don't know before this weekend's match if that is possible [to announce that Terry will stay]. When this is, you will see. I don't know.
“I recently saw an image of him coming in as a youngster. Twenty-one years at the club is huge. That's why they become legends. You must be cherish those legends for the future.”
A Chelsea spokesman also confirmed it to Daily Mail.
“Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck met with John and his agent this week and offered him a one-year contract extension,” the statement read.
“With it coming so late in the season, this is a big decision for John and his family and it is something that they are now considering.”
It was reported that Chelsea’s new coach Antonio Conte had requested that Terry be offered a new contract as he would want to work with the defender.
