Nigerian actress, Oreka Godis has been invited to contribute on at the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
Oreka will contribute to the panel on “sustaining the film industry in the digital environment” in Geneva, Switzerland from April 20-22, 2016.
The former Beat FM OAP and EbonyLife TV host will be on a panel that features: Nikita Mikhalkov; Russian filmmaker, actor, and head of the Russian Cinematographers' Union. Jason Njoku; Co-founder and CEO of IROKOtv, Zianghua Yang; Vice President at iQiyi, Shaili Chopra; an Indian business journalist with nearly twelve years of experience in television anchoring, reporting and writing columns. Bobby Bedi; an Indian film director and producer, Esperanza Silva; a Chilean actress and activist.
WIPO’s
mandate is to promote creative intellectual activity and facilitate the
transfer of technology related to industrial property to developing
countries in order to accelerate economic, social and cultural
development.
Godis is currently a radio presenter on Urban 96.5FM in Lagos.
