Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama has
finally arrived the Super Eagles camp in Belgium ahead of two friendly
games against Congo DR and Cameroon.
His arrival comes three days after he buried his mother, Madam Lucy Phillips Enyeama, in Akwa Ibom state.
The grieving goalkeeper arrived Hotel Verviers camp of the Super Eagles this afternoon, October 6 to the excitement of players in camp. He joins the likes of Ahmed Musa, Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi and others in camp.
His arrival has finally put to rest questions regarding his international future after he fell out with the country’s football administrative system around that time.
Enyeama’s international future was in doubt, after it emerged that the goalkeeper tore a query issued to him by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), over his remarks on their safety in Kaduna.
The Super Eagles goalie however wrote an apology letter afterwards.
Enyeama last featured for Nigeria in a 2017 AFCON qualifier at home against Chad in June which was coach Stephen Keshi last assignment as coach of the team.
He has won a record 101 caps and is now the most capped Nigerian player ever.
