A top official of the NFF reportedly said: “The match against Niger is now confirmed for Port Harcourt after the AFCON qualifier in Tanzania. The other proposals to other neigbouring countries like Ghana and Togo did not fly.”
It has, however, not been determined if the Team A or Team B will play the game, especially with the home-based Eagles preparing for a CHAN qualifier against Burkina in October.
A top source who spoke with NAIJ.COM has earlier said, the outcome of the eagles encounter with Tanzania will determine if they go ahead with the friendly or not.
Nigeria will be playing Tanzania on September 6, in the first leg at the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
