Joseph Yobo: Ex Super Eagles captain honoured by Okocha, Eto’o, Kanu, Moyes in testimonial

After 100 caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, ex-senior national team captain, Joseph Yobo was honoured at his testimonial played on Friday, May 27 in Port Harcourt.
African stars Samuel Eto’o, Sulley Muntari, Stephen Appiah, Lomana Lualua and Laryea Kingston and  Super Eagles greats Kanu Nwankwo, Austin Okocha, Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Ben Iroha to play in the testimonial of Yobo.
The Super Eagles greats that include Vincent Enyeama, Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Emenike, Godfrey Oboabona, Efe Ambrose, Joel Obi and coached by Amodu Shaibu and Samson Siasia were Team Nigeria,
They took on Team World led by Eto’o and coached by Yobo’s former coach at Everton David Moyes, who was assisted by former Nigeria youth coach Fanny Amun.
Team World fell behind to a brace from Emenike after impressive work by Okocha in midfield.
While Muntari and Eto’o scored for for team World.
The first half ended 4-3 with Yobo scoring just before the break to keep the scores close.
Yobo switched sides at resumption as Kanu, funnyman Ayo Makun (AY) and former goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu all came on.
He played two penalties against Dele Ayenugba, missed the first and scored the second to make it 5-3.
