Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will serve a stadium ban for Saturday's Barclays Premier League trip to Stoke City after admitting to a Football Association charge
Mourinho
will also pay a £40,000 fine after his confession to the FA's charge of
'misconduct regarding his language and/or behaviour towards the match
officials in or around the dressing room area during half-time' of last
month's defeat by West Ham.
The
Chelsea boss was sent to the stands in Chelsea's Upton Park defeat
when he launched into a foul-mouthed half-time tirade at referee Jon
Moss following Nemanja Matic's red card.

against Stoke City on Saturday after his latest indiscretion
And
to add to the under-fire manager's mounting problems, he will now miss
the repeat of Chelsea's Capital One Cup exit at the Britannia Stadium in
Saturday's late kick-off.
Sources
claim Mourinho was invited into the referees room by Moss at half-time
in the Upton Park defeat in an attempt to defuse the powder-keg
situation after Matic and Chelsea coach Silvino Louro were dismissed in
the first half.
But
it is suggested that Mourinho did not make it that far — instead blowing
his top and blasting Moss before he too was dismissed.
Louro
has had his formal charge of improper conduct withdrawn, but the FA
have reminded the 56-year-old of his responsibilities.

Meanwhile,
the shambolic champions are preparing to face Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday
night in a game that could define whether they progress from Group G in
the Champions League.
Defeat
would leave Chelsea four points behind Dynamo with two games to play,
and as many as six behind leaders Porto if they beat group whipping-boys
Maccabi Tel Aviv in Haifa.
With
Sergi Rebrov's side still to play Maccabi at home, a win for the away
side at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday could spell further serious trouble
