Thousands of migrants walk through Slovenia in incredible new images

The image of thousands of migrants walking through Europe has become a familiar one, but no better has this been captured than in pictures and accompanying drone footage released yesterday.

The two-and-a-half-minute clip from RT captures the journey of several thousand migrants moving from one refugee camp to another near Rigonce in Slovenia, after crossing into the country from Croatia.
Photos show the men, women and children funneled along the route by members of police and the armed forces.

The border crossing between Croatia and Slovenia is a key point in the migrant trail, and since mid-September around 250,000 people are believed to have walked it.
Croatia followed Hungary’s lead and introduced border controls last month, forcing migrants to cross the border.
European leaders met at an emergency summit in Brussels on Sunday to discuss a plan to cope with the rising number of people making their way towards Germany and the Balkans.
