Ministerial List: Photos Of Buhari's Letter To The Senate

The buzz that was generated by the release of the ministerial nominees from President Muhammadu Buhari has not died down as Nigerians have been reacting to the names on the list since it was made public.
The ministerial nominees list was finally made public today, October 6 by the Senate president, Bukola Saraki.

Saraki received the list last week which was conveyed by Buhari’s chief of staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Sen. Ita Enang, the senior special assistant to the president on National Assembly matters (Senate).

The original letter containing the names of those on the list was obtained by Naij.com today. The letter, signed by the president, informed the senate president that the names represent a partial list of minister due for screening and approval by the senate.

Meanwhile, some senators have vowed that Buhari’s ministerial list will meet serious opposition on the floor of the upper chamber if it does not cover the 36 states of the federation.
At the weekend, chieftains of some opposition political parties and activists expressed their displeasure with the ministerial list which according to them falls short of expectations. Some expressed doubt that the president was committed to fighting corruption with the calibre of the people he intended to appoint as ministers.

In a related development, some APC chieftains whose names are reportedly on the ministerial have started lobbying senators so they can successfully scale the screening process billed for Wednesday, October 7. Some others are said to have gone spiritual, embarking on intensive prayer sessions to come out unscathed aster the exercise.
