Chelsea are reportedly preparing for the departure of struggling manager Jose Mourinho in the coming weeks after the team’s latest defeat against West Ham.

Having suffered a fifth Premier League loss of the season, the Blues could part ways with the Portuguese coach, with two of their former managers being considered to replace him, according to the Daily Mail.

Carlo Ancelotti, who was at Stamford Bridge between 2009 and 2011, is on Roman Abramovich’s radar and is currently without a club, while Guus Hiddink is also a contender after a brief but successful stint in charge in 2008/09.

Mourinho has largely been a huge success in his two spells with Chelsea, but has been known throughout his career for being a controversial character, with various recent reports suggesting he has lost key members of his dressing room.
