The African Union has beamed his searchlight
of honour on the All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Asiwaju Bola
Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu is to be specially decorated with the prestigious award of
“Pillar of Art and Culture in Africa” by the African Union Commission
(AUC).
The decoration will hold during the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA 2015, scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The International Committee of AFRIMA made this known in Lagos during the ceremony to unfold activities of the award ceremony.
The former Lagos state governor was selected among a pool of hundred illustrious sons and daughters of Africa considered for the award, who are lovers of arts and culture for social change.
Meanwhile, four time Grammy award winning singers, Ladysmith
is expected to lead other top African music artists to light up the
AFRIMA stage during the second edition if the award ceremony.
