A teenage boy has been electrocuted to death in Otukpo area of Benue state.
The strange but sad incident happened at Vanapo Hotel junction in the early hours of yesterday, Thursday 24.
The teenage boy was said to be riding a motorcycle with two others to an abattoir when they got stuck in a puddle of water on the road, close to an electric pole that was poorly insulated. The teenage boy fell into the water alongside others but he was unlucky as he was electrocuted to death on the spot while others escaped unharmed. See photos below:
Just recently, a staff of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) was electrocuted while discharging his official duty. Not long ago, a 23-year-old Chinese woman, Xiao Liu, was electrocuted while entering her Personal Identification Number (PIN) on an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
