Martins Beats Drogba To Earmark Riches Worth N.5B

Nigerian International has been ranked the highest paid African Player in the money spinning American Major League Soccer league.

Martins is the highest African earner and the 11th highest paid player in the MLS with a basic take-home of $2.4million (N.6Billion) a year.
However, the Super Eagles striker is ranked as the second highest paid in Seattle Sounders behind US international Clint Dempsey, who pockets over four million dollars a year.

In the list released by the MLS Players Union, Orlando City midfielder Kaka has been revealed as the highest earner in the MLS, beating Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard to the top spot.

He now has 38 goals in his Sounders FC career, second in club history and 9 shy of Fredy Montero’s  47.
