WBC world middleweight champion Miguel Cotto has made it clear he wants one last shot against Floyd Mayweather.
Cotto
lost by unanimous decision to Mayweather in May 2012 at the MGM Grand
in Las Vegas. Afterwards, undefeated Mayweather hailed Cotto has 'the
toughest guy I fought'.
And
Cotto, speaking at a press conference in New York to promote his fight
against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in November, clearly fancies a shot at
revenge over Mayweather.

Cotto would be keen to fight Floyd
Mayweather for a second time if the undefeated America decides against
retiring after next month's fight with Andre Berto
In quotes reported by the New York Daily News,
Cotto said: 'Mayweather said before that he's going to retire after
this fight [with Andre Berto in Las Vegas on September 12].
'I
can't point to someone who's not going to be here later. But if he's
going to stay after his fight [against Berto], I think and I know that's
a fight that people can watch.'
Puerto
Rican Cotto, who will turn 35 in October, is confident of beating
25-year-old Mexican Alvarez when the two fight at Mandalay Bay in Las
Vegas.
Cotto said: 'I know anything can happen the night of the fight. But I can handle whatever Canelo brings.
'I
never go into a fight talking about a knockout. I prepare myself for a
hard fight. But if I catch him with a good punch, I'm going for him."
'As far as I can keep my feet on the ground and listen to Freddie [Roach], I have no doubt we are going to beat anyone.'
