A statement signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rev. David
Nenyi Ampa-Benyin, said the measures cover periods before, during and
after the electoral process.
According to the Ghana Police
Service, the requisite security arrangement has been put in place to
monitor the upcoming district level elections slated for September 1,
2015.

“In
view of this, the deployment of combined team of personnel from the
Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prison Service, Ghana National Fire Service
and Ghana Immigration Service to various polling stations and locations
to maintain law and order for the protection of conduction of the
election, will start on Sunday, August 31, 2015,” the statement said.
It also cautioned the public to desist from any act that could jeopardise the smooth conduct of the election.
“To
ensure a successful and peaceful process, the Police are calling on the
general public to cooperate with them and observe all electoral
regulation and procedures… Meanwhile, the police would like to In case
