Award winning pop star, Innocent Ujah Idibia aka 2face Idibia has cancelled his much anticipated protest.
The singer cancelled the protest barely two hours to Sunday, February 5, 2017.
Making the announcement via his Instagram handle, 2face cancelled the protest amidst tears giving security concerns as his reason.
He tearfully explained that to avoid bloodshed, he has decided to cancel the protest but stand by his convictions of the President Buhari led administration.
The video was captioned:"Dear Nigerians!!! Due to security concerns and public safety consideration. I hereby announce the cancellation of the planned March.''
Earlier in the day, Afrobeat musician Femi Anikulapo-Kutidenied claims of him being against 2Face Idibia’s proposed nationwide protest.

2face announced his decision to protest the current state of Nigeria's economy as well as President Buhari led administration.
The protest was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 5, 2016 but was again moved to Monday, February 6, 2017.
The announcement was greeted with various reactions with the police vowing to stop the protest because of hoodlums, who might hijack the situation.
