A Boeing 747 cargo plane arrived Abuja on Sunday with $1.3m worth of lifesaving supplies for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Northeast Nigeria.
The relief items brought in by UNICEF in partnership with UPS, contained health kits with essential medicines and health supplies for primary Health Centers in the states affected by the Boko Haram crisis. These health kits will serve nearly one million people for a period of three months. Other items include water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) dignity kits, clean water storage cans, basic menstrual hygiene products enough for 80,000 women for 3 months, etc.
