Reports suggest that the FIRS slammed her with a staggering N75
million tax bill and some of the tax proceeds are reported to be related
to the purchase of her N500 million mansion.
Yesterday, June 22, 2016 popular blogger, Linda Ikeji was accused of evading tax and denying her Banana Island mansion.
The former model was
said to be in trouble with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for
evading N75 million tax bill. Reports suggest that the FIRS slammed her
with a staggering N75 million tax bill and some of the tax levies are
reported to be related to the purchase of her N500 million mansion.
Now, Linda exclusively told Pulse those rumours are false as she works as an individual and not a company.
According to her, "Firs go after companies not individuals. And I was operating as an individual," she said.
Linda
Ikeji who was alleged to have said she is not the owner of the Banana
Island Mansion had earlier this year claimed to be hers had this to say
about that. She told Pulse, "And the Banana house is mine 1000%..lol. Proudly mine and I would never deny it."
Meanwhile, the heated banter between popular blogger, Linda Ikeji, and Star Boy Entertainment singer, Wizkid has now ended.
Ikeji settled her beef with the singer at the office of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni.
Ikeji stated that she wanted peace when the police chief inquired about her interest in the case.
She wrote, “So
Wizkid and I met with the Commissioner of Police today and when the
Commissioner asked me what I wanted them to do with the case...I told
him that I wanted peace.”
“And
the reason why I insisted on peace and not to drag the matter further
i.e go to court, is because Wizkid and his lawyers have been apologizing
since Friday, up until today!”
Linda Ikeji reported Wizkid to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police following the latter’s outburst on Instagram.
