The Hollywood actor's rep has disclosed to Us Weekly in a statement
that Depp is looking for a quick way to resolve the divorce from Heard,
which was filed by the actress on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Just as Johnny Depp's wife, Amber Heard, has filed for divorce, the actor has made it clear that he cannot wait for the brief marriage to come to a final end in every way possible.
The Hollywood actor's rep has disclosed to Us Weekly in a statement that Depp is looking for a quick way to resolve the divorce from Heard, which was filed by the actress on Monday, May 23, 2016.
The statement goes on to reveal that:
“Given
the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his
mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories,
gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.
“Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
The actress, 30, had reportedly cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce petition.
Following the
revelation that the couple had actually been separated since May 22,
2016, further reports have revealed that the 52-year-old actor's family,
his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, in particular, had not been fond of Heard, which is alleged to have caused even more friction between the pair.
Heard
had filed for divorce just 3 days after Betty had died, asking for
spousal support which has already been reportedly turned down.
Depp is also reported to be ready for a fight as half of his $400 million fortune may be on the line due to the lack of a prenuptial agreement.
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp got married in February 2015, on the actor's own private island in the Bahamas.
