The impressive life-sized machine moves its limbs, nods, bows, and if you say to it that it is beautiful, it replies: ‘Hehe, thank you.’

Ricky Ma, 42, has spent more than $50,000 (£34,000) and 18 months creating his female robot prototype, Mark 1, which has the appearance of Scarlett Johanssen

Ricky, who says there are some other few people in Hong Kong who understand his hobby, told The Mirror he always had a soft spot for robots.
"When I was a child, I liked robots. Why? Because I liked watching animation. All children loved it,"  he said.

The Scarlett Johanssen clone has a 3D-printed skeleton beneath its silicone skin, which also covers a mechanical and electronic interior.
"When I started building it, I realised it would involve dynamics, electromechanics and programming. I have never studied programming, how was I supposed to code?"
He had to spend a lot of time, energy on money to create the Robot. Despite this, he says he has no regrets about all he invested in Mark 1.
"I figured I should just do it when the timing is right and realise my dream. If I realise my dream, I will have no regrets in life."
