Lineker has now admitted he has already spoken to Match of the Day chiefs in a bid to back out of a pledge.
“You'll have to wait and see. I've kind of said I'll have to do it,” Lineker, who played for Leicester City between 1978 and 1985 told Radio Times.
“The conversation's been had. I've told them many times, 'Please tell me I can't do it'.”
The 55-year-old further admitted that though Leicester City had no chance of winning the league when he made the pledge.
