At the just concluded Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2016 held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria, IK Ogbonna and wife, Sonia Morales in an interview with Pulse revealed how they deal with his female fans.

When asked by Pulse how she deals with her husband's admirers and female fans, she had this to say,
"Its Okay. I understand. I understand my female fans, they are my female fans because they are fans of my husband too."
She also revealed she's hard to get and likes to keep IK chasing after her.

IK Ogbonna wrote a lovely message to Sonia on her birthday.
“Everyday
i wake up and i feel ur hands on my head praying for me , i fall asleep
in ur arms and u fall asleep in my arms . . U believe in me a billion
times more than i believe in myself , you are my best friend , my wife ,
my daughter and most of all my soulmate.”
He later showered her with expensive gifts and booked a hotel room for her.
