Oliseh reportedly requested to tour Europe and possibly the USA, where he wanted to see a very interesting striker
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has blocked Sunday Oliseh from his planned foreign trip ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double header against Egypt.
Oliseh according to several reports had proposed to the NFF to make a European trip to meet with senior members of the Super Eagles ahead of the clash with Egypt.
African Football reports that Oliseh requested to tour Europe and possibly the USA, where he wanted to see a very interesting striker.
The request was turned down because of the economic situation in the country which has left the NFF with little money.
President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick in a recent interview revealed that the dwindling Nigerian economy has been the major reason why they can’t pay wages.
“The economy is bad and it is affected our sponsors,” Pinnick said.
“So when they come for reviews saying ‘we cannot meet our contractual agreement for now’ you cannot hang them.
“You
can only see reasons with them and pamper them and give them
encouragement while you look for other means to achieve our goals."
