Veteran striker Didier Drogba is set to hang up his boot to become an assistant coach at former club Chelsea.
Chelsea new coach Guus Hiddink has made it clear that he would love to have the former Ivory Coast international as his assistant.

Hiddink said that the only problem was with Drogba’s contract with MLS side Montreal Impact.
The striker now is considering ending his playing career so he can go back to Chelsea.

There have been reports that he has already retired but the 37-year-old took to Twitter to deny them.
“I have not yet announced my retirement & am still in discussion with @impactmontreal about my future,” he wrote.
He has however held
talks with Chelsea and currently negotiating with Montreal Impact to
cut short his 18-month Impact contract just six months after joining.

He has scored 11 goals in just 11 MLS appearances for Montreal Impact.
Drogba enjoyed much success at Chelsea, winning four Premier League titles, four FA cups, three League Cups and the Champions League in 2012.
He has played under Hiddink before when the Dutchman took interim charge of Chelsea in 2009.
