Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has admitted to watching the Southampton forward Sadio Mane
Despite the insistence of Southampton coach Ronald Koeman that his Sadio Mane is not for sale, Bayern Munich are said to be interested in the forward.
Manchester United have since signified their interested in signing the 23-year-old and are now set to battle with Bayern Munich for his signature.
The 23-year-old has
been one of Southampton's best players since arriving last year,
prompting links with fellow Premier League club Manchester United in
recent months.
Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has admitted to watching the player before but ruled out signing him despite injuries to the likes of Douglas Costa, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
"I
know him from his time in Salzburg and I thought 'wow'. He is quick,
a good player, but I'm not talking about transfers, I am not responsible," he told reporters.
Mane has scored 17 goals for Southampton since joining last year.
