Former manager of Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson will be returning to the dug-out for a charity match.
Ferguson was convinced to take part of the game by David Beckham (PA via Daily Mail)
Sir Ferguson will be coaching a team that include his former forward, David Beckham in a charity match that will played in Old Trafford dugout in Saturday, November 14.
The game will be between a Great Britain and Ireland X1 against a Rest of the World XI led by Beckham’s former teammate Zinedine Zidane and coached by Carlo Ancelotti.
Beckham contacted Ferguson recruited Sir Ferguson for the match designed to raise funds for UNICEF.
One of the team will be captained by Beckham while the other team will be led by Zidane (Reuters via Daily Mail)
It will be the first time the Ferguson will be returning to the dugout since he retired as United manager in 2013.
The other players involved will be announced over the next month.
Former Italian referee Pierluigi Collina will officiate the game, which is being called 'The Match for Children'.
“I never thought that I would be putting my boots back on but it's for a great cause, the incredible work of @unicef for children,” Beckham said on Instagram.

On Ferguson's involvement in the match, Beckham told BBC Radio 1: “I called him and asked him. He's like a father figure to me.”
Tickets are now available on the Manchester United website and are priced from £20 for adults and £10 for children.
