Finally - a bit of good news has come through about Lamar
Odom’s condition in hospital today, after it emerged that he’s come out
of his coma and has spoken to his estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian.
The former NBA player and ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ alumnus was admitted to hospital earlier this week when he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, after allegedly partaking in a three-day drink and drugs blow-out.

But after his family and friends rallied round and visited him at his bedside, Lamar’s finally showed some signs of progress – which is pretty top news, if you ask us.
According to E! News, a source revealed how the former athlete woke up and said 'Hey baby’ to his estranged wife Khloé, before giving her the thumbs up and falling back to sleep.
The source also claimed that Lamar isn’t using a breathing tube anymore either, and is breathing all by himself – however, doctors are still constantly monitoring him and looking out for signs of both physical and mental problems as a result of the past few day’s activities.
The source added that he is no longer using a breathing tube but could have suffered severe physical and mental impairment.

A second source told Radar Online he woke up after his breathing tube was removed, saying: “He opened his eyes around 10:30 a.m. and made a sound like a whisper.”
Lamar’s two kids - Destiny and Lamar Jr – were at the hospital this week alongside Khloé, and released the following statement on Thursday:
“Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers.”

The Kardashian family meanwhile, who despite the breakdown of Lamar and Khloé’s marriage are still close to him, confirmed this week that they would be easing off on work commitments whilst they try to come to terms with the situation. Issuing a joint statement as a family, they said:
“As a family, we have decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time.”
Well by the sounds of things, Lamar is FINALLY on the mend – which sounds like the good news everyone was hoping for.
