Jayon Releases New Single

Not forgetting his root, Next World music act, Jaywon, has dropped a new single titled Okun.

The Kogi state born singer was born and
trained in his home town before coming
to Lagos as an adult. His root has influenced
his music career which sees him sing lyrics
deep in indigenous Yoruba language.

Okun is a dialect spoken in a part of Kogi state and Ekiti state but Jaywon comes from the speaking part of Kogi state.
Kennis Music introduced Jaywon to the Nigeria music scene few years back with the hit single, Filebe, which took the music industry by storm. Since then, the music act has grown to become one of the trending music acts. His last single with Kennis was ‘This Year‘ and it was equally successful.
Jaywon, born Iledare Oluwajunwonlo James, left Kennis Music after his contract expired. He went on to start a record label called Next World music.
