Four
people including a 5-year-old girl were killed when a car driven by
former Miss Romania Diana Dinu, 25, crashed into a horse-drawn cart,
when it suddenly pulled out into her path. Four people in the cart died
while four others are in a critical condition in hospital.
Miss Dinu, who was driving an Audi, was unharmed along with her three passengers. Police
say the driver of the cart, Marian Batoaga, 46, was drunk and had
pulled out into the road without checking if there was anything coming.
They were named as Dorel Constantin, 52, Corina Constantin, 42, Gabriela Constantin, 5, and Cosmin Rinza, 26.
County
Police spokesman Adrian Huzum said the driver of the cart could face
charges for being drunk and irresponsible for the accident and an
investigation has since been launched.
Dinu,
who was voted Miss Globe Romania 2014, will represent her country in
the final stage of the modelling competition this November in Turkey.
