Nigerian army has said that over two hundred Boko Haram terrorists have surrendered in Banki town, Borno state.
Nigerian Army shared this on its twitter handle on Friday, September 25.
The soldiers had earlier claimed to have destroyed 7 Boko Haram camps and successfully detonated 7 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The troops also claimed to have discovered and detonated 13 IEDs between Darel Jamal and Banki.
Major economic and trading activities between Nigeria, Cameroon and Central African countries take place in Banki town.
