and four children were going home with their tricycle, otherwise called
"Keke Marwa’’.
A Police Corporal who allegedly shot a woman to death on Wednesday at Isheri Oshun, a Lagos suburb, will be arraigned on Friday.
The Commissioner of Police Lagos, Mr Fatai Owoseni, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command on Thursday in Ikeja.

said the Corporal attached to Isheri Oshun Police Division in Lagos had
been arrested and was already undergoing disciplinary action.

said the incident happened on Wednesday while her husband and four
children were going home with their tricycle, otherwise called "Keke
Marwa’’.
He said the corporal allegedly opened
fire on the tricycle killing the woman on the spot, while the husband,
children and the rider sustained bullet wounds.
"As
I speak with you, the corporal had been arrested and undergoing
necessary disciplinary action according to the rule in the force.
"He will be charged to court on Friday for murder. This will serve as deterrent to others.
"The
Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station had been queried for
violating the Inspector-General of Police directive that no police team
should use unregistered vehicle for police operation.
"The team leader of the operation that led to the killing will also face disciplinary action for not directing his men well," he said.
Owoseni said he had visited the family with a view to see what the police would do for them.
