Reports say some officials of the Department of State Security
Service (DSS), Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and the National Drug Law
Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) etc, were turned back for not having their
On-Duty Cards (ODCs).
Operations were brought to a halt, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, following a clash the ensued between officials of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and men of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
According to reports, an NIS official was injured while trying to resist an attempt by Aviation Security (AVSEC), the security outfit of FAAN, to screen him.
Apparently, Aviation Security (AVSEC) were ordered to screen all security staff attached to the airport.

Speaking on the matter, the Public Relations Officer of the NIS, Airport Command, Mr Adebola Adetula said "The
attacked officer just did surgery on that part of the eye and it was
there he was slapped by AVSEC officers on duty and his glasses got
broken."
