Arsene Wenger according the Sun, has split with his partner of almost 30 years, Annie
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has separated from his wife, according to a report by the The Sun.
According
to the newspaper, a judge in Paris, France, issued a 'separation of
bodies' judgment for Wenger and his partner Annie.
The judgment issued by the judge means that both of them are free to see other people.
Wenger is also expected to support Annie and their 18-year-old daughter financially.
"They have divided up their assets and agreed a financial package to separate," a source told The Sun.
'They have not been happy for a while, and they decided this was the best course of action to take."
Wenger and Annie have been together for almost 30 years but finally married in married each other in 2010.
Wenger in the past has been linked to other women.
Just few weeks before his wedding to Annie, it was reported that Wenger was seeing French rapper Sonia Tatar.
The Sun also contacted a French legal expert who explain the situation in detail.
"This
is a legal separation, which means the couple are not legally obliged
to live together, and they can have separate lives, and no longer have
intimate relations," the expert said.
"He
will have to still keep his responsibilities to look after the family.
If the judgment is not overturned within two years, a divorce will be
automatically granted."
