Veteran actor and broadcaster, Yemi Sodimu, has revealed that patriotism inspired him to venture into palm-wine production, a business that has been well received locally and internationally.
The popular actor, whose palm-wine product, Emu Shobam, has been in the market for about five years now, said the idea was to support industrialization and create employment for the youths.He said: “I started this business due to my desire to create something tangible and employment for the people, particularly the youths. It is actually a dream I nurtured for many years.
“Palmwine is better than lager beer because it is natural. There is dignity in labour, so nothing can discourage me from it, and it is a testimony that God has brought the dream this far.”
Yemi Sodimu has proven his mettle as one of the core professionals the showbiz industry can bank on anytime. One of his biggest movies is Oleku, an award-winning flick from the stable of Mainframe Productions.
He is also a regular figure on radio and television, presenting the a game show, Gbarada, amongst others.
