This follows reports that more permanent secretaries have been sent packing including the son of Alhaji Adbulkadir Balarabe Musa, the first executive governor of the old Kaduna state, Daily Post reports.
In a statement issued in Kaduna by Samuel Aruwan, the special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, it was also disclosed that the governor has approved the appointment of Umar Hassan Waziri as the new Accountant General for the state.
It would be recalled that governor El-rufai only recently fired his Aide De Camp (ADC), ASP Abdullah Usman over allegations of insubordination and mismanagement of funds.
The dismissed officials include; Adamu Makadi (permanent secretary, local government), Ibrahim Balarabe Musa (permanent secretary, youth, sports and culture) and Ishaku K. Shekari (accountant-general).
Speaking to newsmen, Aruwan said the retired permanent secretaries were directed to hand over to the most senior director in their respective ministries while expressing the state’s appreciation for the services rendered by the retired officials
Umar Hassan Waziri, the new Accountant-General is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He studied Accounting at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and graduated in 1995.
Governor El-rufai has, however, come under heavy attack following his recent activities. According to Senator Shehu Sani, governor El-Rufai is running a government that does not consider the interest of the people of the state.
