Reaction: Different class

Two of the players involved in yesterday’s 3-1 win over Sunderland have been reflecting on the result, as well as a memorable season overall.
It was an emotional final day at Stamford Bridge as Didier Drogba played his last game for the club.
The Ivorian, who started as captain, was carried off the pitch by his team-mates when he was replaced by Diego Costa in the first half, and John Terry paid tribute to the departing striker.
‘The armband was a natural thing to happen but when you’ve done what he’s done in the game, and at Chelsea, he deserves every accolade and the send-off he got,’ he said. ‘The fans were unbelievable and it’s ended on a nice note, Didier knows how much they love him.’
Terry has been outstanding this season at the heart of the Chelsea defence, and completed every minute of every Barclays Premier League game.
The skipper was presented with the trophy shortly after the final whistle, and he believes we are worthy champions.
‘It’s been five years so we’re delighted to get it back and now the challenge is to keep it next year and go again,’ said the defender. ‘We’ve been different class since day one and everyone deserves a pat on the back.
‘It was an unbelievable day but at the same time a sad day with Didier going. Lamps has also played his last Premier League game so that’s two legends who will be sorely missed, but they’ve set the example for the younger players in the squad.’

After a Diego Costa penalty had cancelled out Steven Fletcher’s opener, two second-half goals from Loic Remy, his eighth and ninth of the season, secured the three points.
The Frenchman felt it was the ideal way to bring the curtain down on the campaign.
‘We wanted to finish the season on a great note, because of last week (the defeat at West Brom) we wanted to win the game,’ he explained. ‘Hopefully we can continue in the same way next season but it was important for us.
‘We deserved to win the league because we have had to fight in every game. The Premier League is very difficult and all the players deserve it, even the substitutes and younger players have played very well when they’ve come in, it’s been brilliant.
‘I signed for Chelsea to win trophies and play in the best competitions. I’m really proud because we got two trophies and hopefully next season we will get more.’
The final word went to Terry, who praised manager Jose Mourinho for his ability to continually get the best out of the players.
‘You need the hunger to win and desire in training to work at your best every day,’ Terry said.
‘If you don’t you won’t play, he makes that very clear from day one. To keep winning trophies year after year and keep that hunger inside the belly is an example to everyone, not just at Chelsea but in football.’
