Suarez: Now I’m at the best club in the world
Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has taken a sly swipe at former side Liverpool by stating that he is delighted to now represent the best club in the world.
The pressure was just starting to build on the Uruguayan international who moved from Anfield for around £65 million in the summer.
But Suarez found the net in the second half during a 5-0 win to ease any doubts being expressed about his record with Barcelona.
Suarez has already scored twice in the Champions League, including an important goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the final group game, so few fans have been getting on his back.
In his post-match interview, Suarez made a comment that could endear him to Barcelona supporters, but won't delight Liverpool fans.
"2014 was a strange year," he said on Spanish TV. "I made some mistakes, but now I am happy to be at the best club in the world
